Susan Spano of
the New York Times writes, "The village of Spring Lake has been developed to a
large extent by Irish-Americans as a resort of elegance in the 1870's, and
remains one of the loveliest enclaves on the Jersey Shore."
Much has
been written about the beautiful borough of Spring Lake. An unhurried
atmosphere of gracious living abounds in this picturesque oceanfront vacation
spot. Spring Lake has become known as a Victorian resort community with its
grand waterfront hotels and homes, several of which serve as romantic "Bed and
Breakfasts".
Mary Higgins Clark, the author, has chosen Spring Lake as
her home as well as the inspiration for "A Street Where You Live". In fact, she
chose our firm, Childers Sotheby's International Realty, to buy her home
here!
In fact, many famous public figures make our section of "The
Jersey Shore" home.
Spring Lake is a popular, tranquil destination with
over two miles along the Atlantic Ocean coastline and the longest
non-commercial boardwalk in New Jersey. Beyond the sand dunes and boardwalk are
wide, quiet streets with elegant homes with meticulously landscaped gardens
dating back to Victorian times. The town's "Main Street" is Third Avenue with
over sixty unique shops, boutiques, and gourmet restaurants. The beach and
boardwalk are oriented toward couples and families.
One of the lovely and romantic
Bed and Breakfasts would make a wonderful place to stay while we search for
your perfect home.
Our personal favorites in
Spring Lake are:
We recommend that you read a
few great articles published in the Asbury Park Press. They are very
informative and full of local color.

The borough of
Sea Girt was developed as an exclusive resort in the late 1800's with many
impressive oceanfront estates.
Today Sea Girt is a quiet, year round
elegant community with a 1 ½ mile boardwalk and a "small town" local
commercial area.
Many sports figures,entertainers and professionals
have found this exclusively elegant resort community an ideal haven to call
their home.

Wall (Wall
Township) is located inland from the beach and encompasses nearly 31 square
miles of suburban and rural countryside. Most of the new construction in this
region of southern Monmouth County of the past decade has occured here. Wall
(Wall Township) has a variety of housing types, single family, condos, four
season adult homes and riverfront homes.
The Route 34 and 35 corridors
contain much of Walls commercial retail establishments and office space. The
uninitiated might not realize this fact, because Wall has no post office.
Public and private open space abounds.

Brielle is the southernmost municipality in Monmouth County and borders the

The borough of
Manasquan is located on the Atlantic Ocean and the Manasquan River and Inlet
from the Atlantic make up part of the towns southern border.
Manasquan's beach and unusual paved "boardwalk" on the sand are popular
attractions for residents and visitors. Surfing is permitted on a section of
the beach near the Inlet and is quite a popular spot.
The downtown has
been enhanced with historically inspired lamps and brick pavers and provides a
year round shopping experience.
The New Jersey Transit train station in
Manasquan provides convenient transportation to Newark and New York and the
southern most station in Bay Head.

Ocean County is
the second largest county in the State and one of four New Jersey counties
which border the Atlantic Ocean.
Development in
Ocean County has traditionally occurred along the coastal beaches and in the
Garden State Parkway and Route 9 corridors.
With the growing
year round population, Ocean County 's economic base has become increasingly
diverse, with a variety of industries now supplementing traditional tourist
related business. In fact, over the past 10 years, Oceean County has had one of
the fastest increases in new jobs in the State.
Despite the
growth in population and employment, Ocean County maintains a vast amount of
protected open space which will ensure a balanced land use in the future. Much
of the area west of the Garden State Parkway contains large tracts of State
Parks, Forests and Wildlife Management Areas. In addition, approximately
20,000. acres east of the Parkway are protected under the Edwin B. Forsythe

Ocean at our front door and the Barnegat Bay and Twilight Lake at the back
door....The Best of both water worlds less than 400 feet apart! Sun bathing,
kayaking, surfing, sailing, riding a bike, flying a kite or just sitting and
watching the world go by in this quiet retreat. Bay Head has been well loved
since the late 1800's by people who enjoy the Good Life!
What a unique
place to live!

homes, about 1.4 miles of pristine beachfront, beautiful churches, and forty
specialty shops with unique goods and services. You will find cute cafes,
wonderful baked goods, great deli's and culinary delights of every form and
fashion.
Bay Head Yacht Club, a private
club founded in 1888 is one of the oldest yacht clubs in America and a focal

Pricing >If the Price Is Not Right
A real estate agent has shown you a house that you like a lot. There is only one problem--the price seems too high. In a situation like this, you can still make an offer that you feel is appropriate.
The real estate agent cannot tell you how much to offer, but he or she can give you information about the selling prices of similar homes in the area. The agent will present your offer to the sellers. They have three choices--they can accept, reject, or counter your offer.
If the house is a new listing, or if your offer is very low, they may decide to hold out for something better. Sellers frequently build a little negotiating room into their asking price. Prices that are not negotiable at the beginning of a listing period may become flexible as time goes on. If you want to test the sellers' flexibility, make them an offer.
